Diamond Peak ski resort

Diamond Peak ski resort

The American Mecca for all lovers of mountain (and not only) skiing is located between Nevada and California. Here, between the two states, lies the vast and picturesque Lake Tahoe. On the western shore of the lake is Carson Range, reaching a height of 3,300 meters and representing a real temptation for any skier. But on Lake Tahoe, wonderful conditions are also created for beginners who take their first steps in this sport. Already even one road to Lake Tahoe can be compared with a beautiful attraction. Around the lake, whose area reaches 497 square kilometers, you can see numerous historical villages, among which we can mention, for example, Genoa, where in the old days the Pony Express horse mail station was located and which, it seems, is still waiting for the arrival of the postal stagecoach. The capital of this whole area around the lake is Tahoe City, where most of the skiers go to separate slopes and resorts. The main principle operating here is: it doesn't matter which direction to choose, but you will still find the best tracks. At the same time, many of these resorts are so good that their fame has long crossed the borders of the United States. Although there are many ski resorts in the United States, only a place called Diamond Peak, located near Lake Tahoe in Nevada and the town of Incline Village, is really lucky with the view. The slopes point straight toward the lake, so there is a risk of staring at the landscape instead of following the road. By the way, the tracks here are mostly of medium and advanced difficulty, and therefore the resort is not as popular as it could be. But if you have the appropriate training, it is definitely worth going there. Thirty tracks are waiting for skiers and snowboarders from the beginning of December to the end of April at the Diamond Peak resort, of which 18% are suitable for beginner skiers, 46% are easy tracks, and 36% will be of interest to those who ski confidently. The total length of the tracks is only 30 kilometers. As for the heights at which Diamond Peak is skied, they range from 2,000 to 2,600 meters. Diamond Peak is a real paradise for young people. The resort has a daily instructor department, and the youngest guests (from 2 years old) are welcome in the children's area for games with professional educators and animators.
